Georgius is our straw wine crafted only in the finest vintages at our winery. The grapes for Georgius are hand-harvested before reaching full ripeness, then meticulously hung in our attic to dry for a full 6 months. As a result, only a small amount of luscious juice is pressed, then the wine is aging in demijons and then it is bottled in 0.375l bottles. This labor-intensive process produces a deep purple wine with a rich aroma of plums and chocolate, and a taste that is round and incredibly indulgent. Georgius - a unique and exquisite sweet wine crafted by our winery, inspired by the parents's (Vlado and Slavka) love for their three children. Just as Georgius, Jochanan, and Andreas are one of a kind, so is each of our natural sweet wines. Georgius is named after Juraj and is a luscious red straw wine made from the red variety Dunaj, while Jochanan, named after Ivana, is a delightful white straw wine crafted from Lipovina grapes. And lastly, Andreas, named after Ondrej, is our precious Tokaj sweet wine, exuding rich and complex flavors that will delight the senses.
